Law Firm Seeking Business Development Specialist for National Health Care & Life Sciences Practice
Join Epstein Becker Green (EBG) as a Business Development Specialist for our national Health Care & Life Sciences practice. In this role, you will collaborate with attorneys to identify potential areas for revenue growth and execute business development strategies. You will also work closely with the Business Development Manager to develop pitch and RFP strategies and materials, as well as monitor and report results and ROI. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a law firm or professional services organization, with excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills.
Responsibilities and Requirements
As a Business Development Specialist at EBG, you will have a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Identifying potential areas for revenue growth and working closely with attorneys to execute business development strategies
- Collaborating with attorneys to develop pitch and RFP strategies and materials
- Interacting with various departments to coordinate and complete projects
- Managing and executing pitch materials and RFP responses for the firm's practice groups
- Monitoring and reporting results and ROI
- Researching and analyzing targets and tracking industry and legal trends
- Creating compelling PowerPoint pitches to support meetings, presentations, and events
- Identifying and assisting in cross-selling opportunities for the practices
- Overseeing an annual calendar of sponsorships and memberships
- Developing and coordinating email and social marketing communications
- Partnering with the operations team on events and meetings
- Building strong working relationships with key partners in firm practice areas and with other members of the Marketing and Business Development team
Education and Experience
To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, English, or Communications, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a law firm or professional services organization. The ideal candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as proofing and copyediting skills. Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is required, and the ability to work professionally with attorneys and take initiative when working with other staff is essential. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills are also necessary, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Physical Requirements
This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Salary Information
The expected salary range for this position is $95,000-$105,000, with offers typically not made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and firm factors are also taken into consideration. In addition to the base salary, successful candidates are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a generous employee benefits package.
