Grant Thornton is seeking a Cyber Privacy and Data Protection Manager to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role also has openings in other locations across the United States including Atlanta, GA, Arlington, VA, Bellevue, WA, Boston, MA, Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA. As a Manager within our Privacy & Data Protection practice, you will have the opportunity to grow and contribute to our clients' business needs in areas such as privacy strategy, governance, automation, risk, and compliance management.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality
- Manage multiple engagements and priorities in a fast-paced, results-based team environment
- Apply knowledge of privacy and data protection trends to identify and implement improvements
- Lead the execution of client engagements, including planning, directing, and completing assessments, program implementations, and managed services
- Work with clients to develop engagement strategies, define objectives, and address privacy-related risks and issues
- Proactively communicate with key client management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for improvements
- Collaborate with team members to develop and market privacy and data protection solutions
- Support business development activities, including client prospecting, proposal development, and thought leadership
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Juris Doctorate, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function serving cross-industry clients at a national level
- One or more of the following certifications: CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISSP, or related
- Deep understanding of global privacy and data protection regulations and frameworks (. GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST)
- Experience working with privacy regulations to perform assessments and support program implementations
- Experience with privacy tools such as OneTrust, , WireWheel, and BigID
- Experience preparing reports and deliverables for consulting engagements and communicating results to clients
- Project management experience and ability to effectively communicate privacy issues to clients at all levels
- Strong client service and communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed
Salary Information:
- Base salary range in Los Angeles and Bellevue: $155,500 - $233,300
- Base salary range in San Francisco and San Jose: $165,600 - $248,400
- Base salary range in New York: $155,500 - $233,300
