Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Director for Private Companies at the company is responsible for working as part of a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues ranging from strategy to execution. Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 8 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate demonstrates extensive knowledge and proven success in advising companies on tax implications of business operations and transactions across multiple jurisdictions. This experience is preferred within a global network of professional services firms, law firms, or corporate tax departments of multinational companies. The candidate should possess:
- A deep understanding of tax compliance and consulting for various entities, including corporations, partnerships, pass-through entities, and Subchapter S corporations.
- Technical expertise with ASC740.
- Skills to identify and address client needs, develop and sustain client relationships.
- Networking, negotiation, and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities.
- Ability to prepare and present complex written and verbal materials.
- Skills to define resource requirements, manage project workflow, budgets, billing, and collection.
- Leadership capabilities to generate a vision, establish direction, and motivate team members.
- Ability to create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and promote improvement and innovation.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Tax Director position is between $140,900 and $434,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range. Actual compensation will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
