Job Title: Tax Senior Manager - Private Companies

Job Responsibilities:
The role of Tax Senior Manager in the department involves working within the company's Private division to provide advisory services to private companies. The responsibilities include assisting these companies with audit, tax compliance, and planning to enhance their operational efficiency, allowing them to concentrate more on business strategy. The role encompasses experiencing the full business life cycle of a private company from inception through growth, maturity, and transition. The team supports clients by designing and implementing personalized service plans tailored to privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals. Key issues addressed include wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture, and exit strategies.

As a Senior Manager, the individual will work as part of a team of problem solvers, dealing with complex business issues from strategy to execution. The responsibilities at this management level include:
- Encouraging team members to voice their opinions and inviting input from all, including quieter members.
- Effectively handling ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations.
- Initiating open and candid coaching conversations at all levels.
- Balancing big picture thinking with managing relevant detail.
- Anticipating stakeholder needs and developing potential solutions proactively.
- Contributing technical knowledge in areas of specialization.
- Fostering an environment where people and technology work together to achieve more than they could separately.
- Navigating the complexities of cross-border and/or diverse teams and engagements.
- Leading open conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders to build trust.

The role also involves leading as tax advisors dedicated to innovation, providing clients with the necessary skills and technology to solve problems and deliver sustained outcomes. The approach is practical and holistic, tailored to meet the unique needs of private companies and their owners. The environment is characterized by complex transactions requiring advanced sophistication, supported by technical knowledge, specialization, and industry insights.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting

Minimum Years of Experience:
- 6 years

Certification(s) Required:
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.

Preferred Qualifications:
The candidate should demonstrate intimate-level knowledge and/or a proven record of success in addressing complex tax issues faced by non-publicly traded companies, along with day-to-day compliance and consulting for various entities. This includes:
- Proven ability to identify and address client needs.
- Experience in building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement.
- Strong communication skills to articulate value propositions.
- Proficiency in managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections, as well as preparing or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
- Experience in supervising teams to foster an atmosphere of trust, promoting diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation.
- Proven ability to provide timely, meaningful written and verbal feedback to staff.
- Demonstrated leadership as a business advisor, including developing new relationships, making introductions to sell new services with a "One Firm" service mindset.
- Experience in innovating through new and existing technologies, and experimenting with digitization solutions.
- Proficiency in using digitization tools to reduce hours and optimize engagements.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $119,300 to $328,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. The company offers a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, holiday pay, vacation, personal and family sick leave, among others.
