Job Title:
Litigation Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Paralegal at the law firm is tasked with supporting attorneys and other paralegal staff in all phases of litigation. Key responsibilities include:

- Performing all elements of litigation case management, including file management, discovery, and trial activities, while assisting attorneys as needed.
- Assisting the Case Manager with managing a large caseload of complex matters to ensure all deadlines and milestones are met.
- Updating the client's document management systems daily.
- Implementing a case calendaring system to track filings and distribute information appropriately.
- Ensuring detailed reports and summaries of case activities and developments are kept up to date.
- Utilizing existing systems and procedures or establishing new ones to facilitate the organization and retrieval of documents for attorneys on the case team.
- Assisting attorneys in all phases of litigation from case initiation through trial.
- Managing calendaring of case deadlines and researching Local Rules and Judge’s Standing Orders to ensure compliance.
- Drafting and preparing court filings in Federal and State courts.
- Handling discovery, document collection, organization, review, and production.
- Proofreading, cite checking, and blue-booking court briefs and discovery documents.
- Assisting with deposition, meeting, or interview preparations.
- Managing all aspects of trial and arbitration preparations, including travel.
- Preparing various charts and indices.
- Coordinating with external vendors.
- Performing various day-to-day case management tasks.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm.
- A Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is necessary.
- Understanding of common litigation practices, procedures, regulations, and workflow.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Google Workspace, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
- Proficiency in Lexis Nexis and Westlaw.
- Proficiency in iManage.
- Experience with eDiscovery Databases such as Relativity, Opus 2, and CaseMap.

Salary Information:
The annual compensation range for this position is $105,000 to $120,000. The salary offered within this range will depend on qualifications and other operational considerations.

Additional Information:
The role reports to the . Paralegal Manager and Litigation Paralegal Supervisor. The candidate must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and client matters simultaneously. The role may require travel and the ability to work overtime as necessary. The law firm will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with local law requirements.
