Overview:

- Seeking a Business Development Manager to maintain relationships with attorneys in the Health & Life Sciences practice group, drive collaboration across other practice areas, and implement strategies for client expansion, revenue growth, and brand recognition
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Organize and drive client targeting programs and campaigns, track and report results
- Lead and draft content for RFPs, pitches, and other opportunities
- Identify and facilitate cross-selling opportunities within designated practice group and other firm practice groups
- Oversee strategic planning and execution of Signature McDermott events
- Monitor industry trends and conduct strategic research
- Identify and facilitate participation in sponsorships, conferences, and other profile-building opportunities
- Drive collaboration within BD department and firm teams
- Guide lateral hires through integration process
- Manage legal directory and league ranking submissions
- Direct and support business development team members
- Manage designated practice group budget
- Consult with attorneys to develop and monitor individual business development goals and plans
- Review and update collateral and experience for designated practice group
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 8 years of related work experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and client relationship management (CRM) software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership and analytical skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle confidential information
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours
- Ability to work independently and under own direction and initiative
Salary Information:
- Target Hiring Range $135,000 - $189,000
- Quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of final salary offers and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location
- Full time positions eligible for discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- While performing duties, employee may be required to sit, use hands, reach, stoop, talk, and hear
- Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- Typical indoor office environment
