Job Title: Affidavits Clerk

Job Responsibilities:
The Affidavits Clerk at the law firm is responsible for assisting with all administrative aspects of legal cases from pre-litigation to default judgment. The key duties include preparing and editing legal documents and correspondence related to the litigation process. The role involves maintaining electronic files and calendaring, coordinating with multiple attorneys, legal assistants, and departments in a team environment. Specific responsibilities include:

- Preparing, reviewing, and editing litigation documents in accordance with client and firm policies and procedures.
- Requesting documentation from clients, courts, and/or vendors.
- Preparing and filing legal documents with state and federal courts.
- Filing and following up on court filings.
- Communicating with staff and outside parties.
- Accurately entering data into internal systems.
- Adhering to compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations per all client and company policies and procedures.
- Performing data entry, logging filings, preparing correspondence, document preparation, note-taking, and using client codes.
- Communicating updates, modifications, and requests with collectors, managers, and attorneys when necessary.
- Updating account statuses accordingly.
- Monitoring and adhering to court-mandated changes.
- Performing other duties as requested.

Education and Experience Information:
The position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The candidate must be able to work with minimal guidance to prioritize and handle multiple concurrent tasks. Basic reading, writing, and math skills, along with good oral communication, are essential for this role.

Physical Requirements:
The job requires sedentary work with repetitive motion, involving substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, typing, and analyzing data. The work is conducted in an office environment, requiring the ability to operate standard office equipment.
