Job Title: Receptionist - Legal Intake
Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Receptionist/Legal Intake position include serving as the initial point of contact for all inbound callers and visitors to the law firm. This role involves screening and routing calls to the appropriate party and conducting legal intake for all potential new clients wishing to retain the law firm. Specific duties include:
- Managing daily oversight of the office to ensure tidiness.
- Receiving, organizing, and sending mail via USPS and other carriers.
- Placing office supply orders as needed.
- Acting as a liaison between building management and the law firm.
- Handling all inbound calls and routing them appropriately.
- Performing initial legal intake for callers interested in retaining the law firm.
The role also involves a matrix of tasks that are performed daily:
- Answering and routing all inbound calls.
- Conducting legal intake for each qualified lead.
- Scheduling consultations for the Non-Attorney Salesperson.
- Receiving, sorting, and organizing inbound mail and packages.
- Ensuring the tidiness of office space and common areas.
- Assisting with special projects as needed.
- Providing necessary reporting for legal intake to the Director of Operations and head of sales/marketing weekly.
- Placing supply orders for office space and law firm team members.
Education and Experience Information:
The position requires the equivalent of a high school diploma. Candidates must have prior experience as a receptionist of at least two years, with receptionist/legal intake experience in a law firm being strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Information:
The compensation for this position is $30,000 per year.
