Law Firm Seeks Director of Business Continuity for Florida Offices

The Law Firm of Morgan & Morgan is seeking a Director of Business Continuity to join their Technology team. This role will be based out of any of their Florida offices. The director of business continuity will be responsible for developing, planning, executing, and testing the resiliency of business services. This is a leadership role that requires a broad understanding of both technical solutions and business functions.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience managing a business continuity program for a medium to large enterprise. They should also have proven success in maintaining business operations during periods of service disruption in Salesforce and Microsoft ecosystems.

Responsibilities of the Director of Business Continuity:

- Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for business continuity
- Protect business services according to defined recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives
- Secure senior leadership support and funding for the business continuity program
- Periodically report the state of resiliency capabilities to stakeholders
- Maintain plans, documentation, and registers for the program
- Work with stakeholders to define benchmarks and metrics
- Review third-party obligations for resiliency
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements for the Director of Business Continuity:

- Active membership in a business continuity professional organization (BCI, DRII, etc.)
- Current business continuity certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI)
- Practical experience with Agile project management
- Prior leadership or management experience
