Job Title: Senior Manager, Application Support

Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager, Application Support at the law firm is a key position within the Information Technology Department. This role involves leading teams to optimize and integrate the firm's on-premises applications and cloud services. The position requires exceptional people and vendor management skills, a deep understanding of the legal application landscape, and strong collaboration and communication abilities. The Senior Manager will report to the Director of Enterprise Application and collaborate closely with Global Information Technology Teams, building strong relationships with direct reports, peer managers, directors, and external vendors.

The essential duties include:

- Strategic Planning: Collaborating with the Enterprise Applications leadership team and IT architects to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the firm’s Application Platforms. Managing scorecards for the department's managed applications and systems, creating data-driven strategies to enhance operations, and developing the firm's infrastructure/solutions to be cloud-first, modern, flexible, highly available, and of industry-leading quality.

- Leading Collaboration and Cross-Functional Platform Design: Participating in and managing requirements gathering processes, designing and implementing solutions that can be operationalized at scale, and acting as a catalyst for change and adoption by collaborating with various teams to enhance and improve changes to solutions and support processes.

- Firm Applications and Integrations Ownership: Acting as the technical owner of solutions, advocating for system stability, reliability, and scalability, developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and managing vendor relationships. Overseeing platform design to create a unified ecosystem and user experience, and facilitating the enforcement of application and security policies.

- Management and Leadership: Exemplifying the principles of the Enterprise Applications Team, participating in the change control process, defining team roles and responsibilities, recruiting, training, and mentoring a diverse team, serving as a direct supervisor, and participating in hiring processes, performance evaluations, and other employee lifecycle events.

Education and Experience Information:
- A . in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant people supervision and experience leading a team of 4 or more persons.
- A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated application support and administration, code/workflow development and support, or related experience in an application architecture capacity.
- Experienced in managing relationships, projects, and outsourcing with vendors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft IIS, Azure Application Fabric, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft SharePoint, Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS), Azure Active Directory, or Active Directory.
- A minimum of 8+ years working with multitier architecture applications or developed solutions leveraging high availability technologies such as load balancing, clustering, SQL Always on, or cloud-based equivalences.
