Employment Law Litigation Paralegal at Fort Lauderdale Law Firm The role of Employment Law Litigation Paralegal at our Fort Lauderdale law firm is a crucial one, working closely with a lead attorney to provide litigation support. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and a great working environment, and we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented candidate to join our team. As part of our firm's mission to fight for consumer rights, we are dedicated to providing top-notch legal services to our clients. Responsibilities of the Employment Law Litigation Paralegal include: - Preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and complaints - Organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices - Interface with Administrative Agencies, including EEOC - E-filing court documents in federal and state court - Preparing discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses - Drafting and serving summons - Coordinating depositions - Preparing deposition and hearing binders and exhibits - Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court - Interfacing with clients to keep them updated on the status of their case and obtaining necessary documents for discovery - Gathering relevant information from various sources - Liaising between attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts Requirements for this position include: - - At least 2+ years of experience working in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting - Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred) - General litigation experience, preferably in federal court - Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures - Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment We value our employees and offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
