#LI-DNP #LI-DNI Talent Counsel - Legal Employment Advisor for Orrick Law Firm Overview: - Orrick Law Firm is seeking a Talent Counsel to advise on employment-related matters and serve as a point of contact for international employment issues. - This position is open to candidates with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and 3-5+ years of experience in employment law. - The role can be based in any of Orrick's . offices or considered for 100% remote work. Responsibilities: - Advise the firm on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. - Stay informed on changes in legislation and assist in creating policies and procedures to ensure compliance. - Review and revise internal policies to ensure legal compliance. - Develop and deliver training on employment law matters. - Assist with drafting and negotiating employment-related documents. - Support the firm's benefits team on compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, and immigration matters. - Assist with pre-litigation employment matters. - Other duties as assigned by firm leadership. Qualifications: - Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. - 3-5+ years of experience practicing employment law. - Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations. - Ability to work independently and provide sound legal advice. - Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
