# Compliance Liaison, Employee Health & Benefits (MMA Mid-Atlantic) MMA Mid-Atlantic is looking for an experienced Compliance Liaison to join our Employee Health & Benefits team. This position will provide our internal team with guidance and clarification on a wide range of compliance topics related to health and welfare plans. As a Compliance Liaison, you will be responsible for understanding the impacts of legislative issues and compliance standards regarding employer sponsored health and welfare plan administration. ## Job Responsibilities - Provide clarification and guidance on a broad range of compliance topics applicable to health and welfare plans, including ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Internal Revenue Code (including Section 125), FSAs, HRAs, HSAs, FMLA and other state and federal regulations. - Collaborate with appropriate members of the organization to ensure effective outcomes related to projects, tasks and initiatives. - Research, respond to benefits compliance inquiries, and provide internal training for our employee benefit consultants and support teams. - Understand the impacts of legislative issues and compliance standards regarding employer sponsored health and welfare plan administration. ## Qualifications - Minimum of 5-7 years previous insurance agency/brokerage experience in employee benefits required. - In-depth understanding of Health & Welfare Plans and compliance resources. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills; take initiative; be solution focused; and be a change agent for the organization. - Detailed knowledge of the agency procedures, and corporate, industry, state and federal compliance regulations required. - Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal degree or equivalent experience preferred. - Paralegal Certification preferred. - Legal work authorization to work in the . on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future. ## Salary and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary based on experience.
