H2: Lead and Drive Compliance for Global Benefits & Executive Compensation Programs

About the Role:

- Lead and manage a team of lawyers responsible for global employee benefits and executive compensation
- Partner with Uber's Global Benefits Team for the design, implementation, and administration of retirement and health and welfare benefit programs
- Serve as secretary and counsel for Uber's Global Benefits Committee
- Support M&A and integration activities, including subsidiary support
- Advise and partner with Uber's Equity Team on equity plan and ESPP programs
- Collaborate with business groups on fringe benefit programs
- Provide guidance to payroll and tax teams on employment tax issues
- Stay updated on legal changes related to employee benefits and partner with industry associations
- Build strong relationships with HR, tax, and legal teams for support and collaboration

Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum of 12 years of legal experience in employee benefits

- Strong knowledge of ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, and ACA
- Experience with global benefit programs

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with public companies in the technology sector
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative with business leaders and cross-functional partners
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent business judgment and communication skills
- High ethical standards and accountability
- Passion for Uber and making a big impact

Salary Information:

- New York, NY-based roles: USD$270,000 - USD$300,000 per year
- San Francisco, CA-based roles: USD$270,000 - USD$300,000 per year
- Washington, DC-based roles: USD$270,000 - USD$300,000 per year
