Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Associate will be part of the Affordable Housing and Tax Credit Team at the law firm. This role involves representing for-profit and nonprofit developers in various stages of affordable multifamily housing projects for families and seniors across the United States. The responsibilities include:
- Development, acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, operation, and sale of affordable housing.
- Utilizing a wide range of federal, state, and local affordable housing programs.
- Collaborating with a team of over 1,000 attorneys and policy advisors to provide individual client attention.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Tax Associate position should have:
- Three to five years of meaningful experience in partnership tax, with a preference for experience in federal income tax credits.
- An undergraduate degree in Accounting.
- An LLM in Taxation is preferred.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented nature and excellent follow-through abilities.
- Membership in good standing with any state bar.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Tax Associate position is $230,000 - $270,000 annually. Employees may also be eligible for performance bonuses and benefits, including healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
