The San Francisco office of this mid-size firm is engaged primarily in litigation and general business, although the firm boasts a solid regulatory and administrative law practice and a respectable labor/employment practice. The firm has a strong pro bono commitment; associates receive full billable hour credit for approved pro bono work and, overall, pro bono comprises 3-5% of all work. The billable hour target is 1850 and salaries are approximately 20% below market.
Paralegal - Litigation The candidate will follow basic legal procedures. Assist with trial preparation. Draft basic correspondence. Coordinate service of process (local and nationwide). Work with vendors relating to remote depositions and legal material requests. Assist with the delivery/filing of court documents, records and copy requests. Prepare for depositions of witnesses in cases. Complete projects within given deadlines. Provide status updates throughout the projects. Coordinate projects with direct supervision from attorneys and senior paralegals. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree is required. Work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered. Should preferably have 0-3 years of paralegal experience. Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
