Job Title: Immigration Employment Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file employment-based immigration petitions and applications with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Department of Labor (DOL), and Department of State (DOS).
- Draft and review immigration forms, client letters, and supporting documentation for various visa categories, including H-1B, H-1B1, TN, L-1A, L-1B, O-1, P-1, and employment-based immigration categories (EBs).
- Handle PERM labor certifications and I-140 Immigrant Petitions.
- Assist with Adjustment of Status (I-485) applications, Employment Authorization Documents (EAD), and Advance Parole (AP) applications.
- Prepare responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and Notices of Intention to Deny (NOID).
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary documents and information.
- Maintain case files and track deadlines using case management software.
- Coordinate with attorneys and other team members to ensure timely filings and provide client updates.
- Stay informed about developments in immigration law and procedural changes.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an employment immigration paralegal is required.
- Knowledge of employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant visa processes is essential.
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills are necessary.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities is important.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Fluency in Portuguese and Spanish is preferred.
