Paralegal (Civil Litigation) - Part-Time

Job Responsibilities

The Paralegal in the civil litigation department is responsible for managing and organizing case files to ensure attorneys have everything necessary for their cases. Key responsibilities include:

- Drafting and preparing pleadings.
- Managing discovery requests.
- Coordinating subpoenas.
- Summarizing depositions.
- Analyzing documents.
- Keeping cases on track with deadlines.

The role requires close collaboration with attorneys to ensure the success of high-impact cases across multiple industries, including construction, transportation, premises liability, products liability, cybersecurity and data protection, commercial and business litigation, and education law.

Education and Experience Information

Candidates must have at least one (1) year of experience working as a litigation paralegal with a solid understanding of civil litigation processes. While direct experience across all practice areas is not required, familiarity with a range of civil litigation matters is strongly preferred.

Candidates should be able to:

- Communicate clearly.
- Handle multiple priorities under pressure.
- Navigate fast-paced environments.
- Stay organized and focused while managing competing deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong command of Microsoft Office and proficiency in PDF software.
- Perform tasks like Bates stamping, combining or separating files, and editing PDFs.

Salary Information

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20 per hour, which is dependent on experience.
