Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Paralegal will provide essential support to attorneys within the law firm and assist in a variety of legal tasks. This role requires a skilled and detail-oriented professional who is client-focused and possesses strong organizational skills. The key responsibilities include:
- Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and closings.
- Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information for cases.
- Organizing and maintaining documents in paper or electronic filing systems.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, depositions, and pleadings.
- Communicating with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions.
- Managing and organizing case files, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinating with other legal professionals and departments within the law firm to ensure efficient case management.
- Performing administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents.
- Ensuring compliance with legal procedures and regulations.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining professional phone etiquette.
Education and Experience Information:
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail are necessary.
- Excellent people skills and customer service skills are critical.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Professional phone etiquette is expected.
