**Job Title:**
Program Manager
**Job Responsibilities:**
The Program Manager plays a critical role in the Data and AI team at the law firm, primarily focusing on the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives. Key responsibilities include overseeing the delivery phase of enterprise-wide solutions to ensure they meet requirements, adhere to timelines, and achieve business objectives. The Program Manager ensures that all projects maintain the firm's standards for security, usability, and value.
Specific duties include:
- Overseeing execution and delivery of Data and AI initiatives across business and technology teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Partnering with Product Management teams to translate product roadmaps into executable work plans.
- Coordinating task planning, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and status reporting across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Managing project scopes, timelines, dependencies, and delivery risks to ensure timely and successful rollouts.
- Facilitating regular program updates, steering meetings, and stakeholder communications.
- Establishing and maintaining consistent delivery practices, including documentation standards, change control, and project retrospectives.
- Ensuring internal resources such as intranet pages and service descriptions accurately reflect the Data and AI team’s value proposition.
- Collaborating with Knowledge, Communications, and IT teams to maintain high-quality internal documentation and communications.
- Promoting collaboration and transparency within the Data and AI program and with stakeholders across the firm.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance program efficiency, agility, and stakeholder experience.
**Education and Experience Information:**
**Required:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in program or project management, particularly in large-scale technology delivery.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and cross-functional program coordination.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex enterprise programs involving multiple stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reporting and team documentation.
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalents.
- Proven ability to build relationships across departments and levels of an organization.
**Preferred:**
- Experience working in a law firm or other professional services environment.
- Familiarity with Data, AI/ML, or Knowledge Management technologies.
- Background in internal communications or stakeholder engagement.
- Agile certification (., PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster) or PMP certification.
- Experience maintaining and managing intranet content or service documentation.
**Other Skills and Abilities:**
Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, good judgment, and strong interpersonal communication skills. They should have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, be able to work harmoniously with others, preserve confidentiality, exercise discretion, work under pressure, and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities.
**Salary Information:**
Salaries for the Program Manager position vary by location and are based on factors such as market conditions, skills, experience, and education of the candidate. If located in Illinois, the target salary range is $138,900 - $155,000. The compensation package also includes bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits program.
