The Workers’ Compensation Legal Administrative Assistant will be an integral part of the Workers’ Compensation team at the law firm. The primary responsibilities include:
- Assisting attorneys who specialize in workers’ compensation law by providing comprehensive administrative support.
- Scheduling calls, conferences, mediation, and other events to ensure smooth operation and coordination within the legal process.
- E-filing court documents with county, state, and federal court systems, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
- Accessing, uploading, and filing documents within the Industrial Commission Online Network (.).
- Scanning and saving documents to the document management system to maintain organized and accessible records.
- Organizing and assembling files for new matters, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Requesting medical records as needed for case preparation and management.
- Submitting invoices for payments, ensuring timely processing and financial management.
- Answering phones and managing communication to support attorneys and clients efficiently.
- Managing attorneys’ calendars to optimize time management and scheduling.
- Performing other office administrative duties as assigned by attorneys or paralegals to support the team’s overall functionality.
Education and Experience Information:
The position requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience as a legal assistant, specifically in the field of Workers’ Compensation.
