Job Title: Business Immigration Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:

The Business Immigration Paralegal at the law firm plays a crucial role in assisting attorneys within the department. The key responsibilities include:

- Preparing case materials and filing nonimmigrant petitions and applications with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), which includes L-1, H-1B, TN, and O-1 visas.
- Preparing and filing immigrant petitions and applications, such as PERMs, I-130s, PERM-based I-140 petitions, and EB1A, B & C-based petitions, as well as I-485 applications to adjust status.
- Guiding clients through the entire PERM process, ensuring they are well-informed and supported throughout.
- Tracking critical deadlines using immigration software systems and preparing weekly caseload reports for each attorney.
- Communicating regularly via phone and in writing with clients, beneficiaries, and various government agencies to ensure smooth processing and compliance.

Education and Experience Information:

- The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience managing high-volume visa processing and immigration applications/petitions.
- Proficiency in USCIS/DOL electronic filing systems and electronic document management software is required.
- The candidate should possess strong organizational and communication skills, ensuring high-quality and meticulous work products.
- The ability to identify and analyze issues and problems, recommending and implementing effective solutions, is crucial.
- The candidate should be able to organize work, establish priorities, and maintain good interpersonal relations and communications with lawyers and other staff.
- The role requires someone who is cooperative and works well within a team setting.
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively.
