Job Title: Legal Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
The primary role of a Legal Assistant within the organization is to support attorneys who are dedicated to providing zealous and holistic representation to clients involved in criminal, juvenile, or child protection cases. This position is non-classified and reports to the Management Assistant or Lead Attorney. The responsibilities encompass a wide range of administrative and legal support tasks, which include:

- Assisting with the review, preparation, and processing of legal documents and discovery materials.
- Generating motions, memoranda, and pleadings using the case management system (CMS).
- Providing document management support during meetings, hearings, and trials.
- Entering and reviewing data in the CMS in accordance with established guidelines.
- Assisting with the preparation of trial exhibits.
- Communicating with clients and court personnel effectively.
- Filing documents electronically.
- Tracking personal time and tasks within the CMS.
- Assisting attorneys with various administrative tasks and projects as needed.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of client information and adhering to ethical standards.
- Organizing electronic case files in the CMS.
- Handling phone calls, emails, and greeting clients in the office.
- Demonstrating high proficiency with CMS, legal, and administrative software and platforms.
- Scheduling and calendaring events, deadlines, and appointments.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Legal Assistant position are required to meet one of the following minimum qualifications:

- Possess one to five years of experience in the legal field related to the aforementioned job responsibilities.
- Alternatively, possess one to five years of experience performing standard administrative tasks such as preparing correspondence or reports, filing, entering data, receiving payments, and/or maintaining logs, including the regular, proficient use of electronic management information systems, word processing, and other standard business software applications.
- An Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is also acceptable.
- Candidates should also demonstrate exceptional administrative skills, including organization, time management, and attention to detail, as well as excellent grammar and proofreading skills and clear, professional communication skills.

Salary Information:
The Legal Assistant position at the organization offers a full-time role with an annual salary range of $52,000 to $73,000, depending on the candidate's experience (.). The position is paid on an hourly basis, with a minimum hourly wage of and a maximum of .
