Job Title: Immigration Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
- Work with various employment-based immigration processes and case types.
- Collaborate in a team environment to build knowledge of the law firm, client, and immigration processes.
- Lead client communications under attorney direction for case intake, document collection, and issue troubleshooting.
- Provide guidance on software systems and case processing to clients and foreign nationals as directed.
- Handle cases competently while developing a broader knowledge base and increased independence.
- Evaluate cases, communicate concerns, and escalate issues proactively and appropriately as necessary.
- Draft petition forms, support letters, and assemble supporting documents for attorney review.
- Run weekly case reports for attorneys using case management software.
- Develop competence with case management and reporting tools and technologies for data and information management.
- Manage the status of all filed applications and petitions per policy, utilizing the firm's document, data management, and accounting/billing systems.
- Contact government agencies to obtain information on potential process delays or problems and communicate these to attorneys.
- Conduct pertinent research to gather information such as company background, industry data, current wages, processing procedures, and standard processing times.
- Juggle multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining professionalism and seeking assistance when needed.
- Offer assistance to others willingly when required.
- Maintain an exceptional client service attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
- Show initiative, flexibility, resiliency, and willingness to adapt to change.
- Take ownership and complete tasks without the need for supervision.
- Maintain a positive, “can do” attitude when interacting with clients, co-workers, and attorneys.
- Contribute to a team-oriented and collegial work atmosphere.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates should be enthusiastic about learning the day-to-day operations of a business immigration law practice.
- Eager to help find solutions to complex immigration-law issues.
- Strong writing skills, well-organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with document management systems is a plus.
- Outstanding task case management, prioritization, and organizational skills are necessary.
- Successful candidates will possess strong writing skills and value attention to detail.
Salary Information:
The hourly rate range for this position is - . The actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
