Job Title: Senior HR Generalist

Job Responsibilities:
The Senior HR Generalist is a pivotal member of the Human Resources team at the law firm, tasked with supporting a broad range of HR functions to foster an environment of "First in Service" culture. Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the development and implementation of learning and training initiatives to enhance employee skills and support organizational goals.
- Administering HR learning tools and platforms to drive engagement with managers and staff.
- Providing guidance to managers on employee evaluations, career development, and corrective actions.
- Developing, implementing, and administering HR policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance adherence at the federal, state, and local level across multiple states, including California, Illinois, Ohio, Delaware, and New York.
- Conducting audits within the HR Operations function to ensure compliance with current laws and requirements.
- Staying current on regulatory changes and best practices in Human Resources.
- Researching and recommending adjustments to pay ranges for all non-timekeeper positions.
- Collecting and analyzing detailed information about job duties to ensure accurate job classification and compensation.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive job descriptions for all non-timekeeper positions.
- Assisting in the annual compensation review and bonus calculation process for support staff.
- Managing the law firm's intern program, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and providing ongoing support to ensure a positive and productive experience for all participants.
- Conducting regular training for new hires on essential firm policies.
- Backing up other HR team members on exit interviews, offboarding, orientations, and other employee-facing initiatives.
- Collaborating with senior HR leaders on initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Creating and maintaining process documentation for areas of responsibility.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Senior HR Generalist position must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience. Preferred qualifications include 7-10 years of well-rounded HR experience and HR certification such as PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP. Essential skills for this role include strong interpersonal and communication abilities, excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, and integrity in handling sensitive information. A solid understanding of employment laws is necessary, and experience with learning and development programming is highly preferred. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office is required.
