Associates are allowed to choose the practice areas and specific assignments that interest them, and they will be challenged with responsibility and client contact.
Paralegal - Patent Prosecution The candidate will assist with all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution across multiple clients. Coordinating filing of new patent applications. Reviewing and managing USPTO and foreign counsel correspondence. Tracking due dates via matter management and docketing systems and coordinating with attorneys and staff to meet all identified due dates. Proactively preparing client reporting and prosecution documents. Communicating with USPTO, attorneys, paralegals, liaisons, foreign associates, staff and clients regarding all aspects of patent prosecution. Should have 5-10 years working with intellectual property and patent prosecution. 2+ years of law firm experience. A Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification is desirable. Trademark prosecution experience a plus. Strong attention to detail and experience managing an extensive patent prosecution docket. Outstanding communication (oral & written) and organization skills.
