Paralegal II - Investment Funds The candidate prepares and maintains excel spreadsheets tracking investor subscriptions. Updates and maintains a Share point tracking system and calendar for various deadlines. Prepares and files (or coordinates the filing of) formation, tax, and securities documents. Reviews investor subscription materials for completeness, correctness, and consistency. Subscription Booklet Tracking and Indexing. Reviews investor subscription booklets and indexes into Access database and identifies follow-up. Prepares and maintains various spreadsheets and reports. Maintains hard and soft copies of subscription booklets and other related materials. Assists with pre-closing, closing, and post-closing activities. Handles signature page distribution to clients. Prepares and files Form ID with the SEC and obtains SEC EDGAR codes. Prepares and files Form D with SEC. Provide legal and administrative support to Paralegals and Attorneys in the Corporate Department. Commitment to work overtime, as needed.
Qualifications: The candidate should preferably have a Bachelor's degree and experience in transactional matters including fund formation, and investment management. Should have 5+ years of experience preferably in a law firm handling complex matters for large corporate clients. Additional qualifications include excellent analytical and organizational abilities, solid communication and management skills, creativity, and initiative. A successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as with a team, have an acute attention to detail, and can multi-task and prioritize while working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment. Flexibility for travel and work overtime as required. Strong technical skills are required, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a form of Document Management System. Access experience is a plus.
