As a legal assistant, you will play a key role in the success of our firm by providing administrative and secretarial support and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of legal documents.

Job Title: Legal Assistant
Experience Information:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of legal terminology
Department: Operations
Location: Philadelphia
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal staff
- Manage schedules and coordinate meetings and travel
- Create and transcribe legal documents
- Proofread and edit documents for accuracy
- Enter and close time per attorney's preference
- Edit client bills and manage process
- Maintain open communication with attorneys and supervisor
- Provide general administrative support
- Understand and handle e-Filing for various courts
- Perform research and maintain files and calendars
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Understand the practice area(s) in which support is provided
- Maintain open communication with supervisor
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ABILITIES, OR KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure
- Understanding of legal terminology
- Ability to handle confidential information
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- High school degree or equivalent
WORKING CONDITIONS AND SAFETY HAZARDS
- Occasional overtime may be required
