Key Responsibilities:
- Support the New York Workers' Compensation Defense Practice
- Conduct legal research and assist with legal proceedings
- Draft and review legal documents
- Investigate facts to aid in legal disputes
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Record and store client information
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or in the legal field
- Associate's degree required, Certificate in Paralegal Studies or bachelor's degree preferred
- Familiarity with legal research
- Strong prioritization and multitasking skills
- Critical thinking abilities to move claims forward
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Must be able to obtain a notary license (reimbursed by Lois Law Firm, LLC)
