Job Title: Manager, Billing Compliance

Job Responsibilities:
The Manager, Billing Compliance at the law firm is tasked with the management of all billing compliance functions and personnel across the firm. The core responsibilities include:

- Managing staffing, training, and performance of all billing personnel firm-wide.
- Ensuring that all bills are processed accurately and promptly, adhering to Client Billing Guidelines and the firm's internal procedures.
- Facilitating secure communication with billing attorneys and Client Service Specialists (CSS's) regarding compliance with clients' requirements.
- Responding to all billing requests from billing attorneys, CSS's, clients, and other internal teams, and providing all requested billing reports.
- Reviewing current processes and suggesting improved methods or systems to enhance firm revenue.
- Working beyond scheduled hours as necessary, particularly at month-end and year-end.
- Handling additional related projects as necessary.

Proficiencies required for the role include advanced proficiency in administering windows and web-based accounting programs, especially legal-specific systems like Elite, document management systems such as WorkSite, FileSite, DeskSite, and Equitrac, MS Office Suite applications, and financial forecasting programs like targetCash. A deep understanding of accounting principles and practices is also necessary.

Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for the Manager, Billing Compliance position should possess the following qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with financial systems is required.
- At least 7 years of general accounting experience is required.
- Preferably, at least 7 years of experience in legal billing.
- Management experience within a law firm or large organization is preferred.
