Legal Secretary The candidate will exhibit knowledge of the litigation process. Maintain and organize files in an orderly manner. Ability to draft standard correspondence, memoranda, and other documents. Possesses strong administrative skills including typing, transcribing, word processing, mail and contact management, spreadsheets, presentations, programs, systems, and databases. Exhibit good judgment and organizational skills to receive, record, and disseminate all information on behalf of the clients and assigned attorneys (., mail, interoffice mail, email, etc.). Regularly and accurately proofreads all documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to distribution or filing. Handle a wide variety of complex and confidential time-sensitive material. Routinely reviews and follows up on client deadlines and calendar appointments. Coordinate and makes necessary arrangements for meetings (., depositions, mediations, interviews, and vendor and facility reservations). Assist attorneys with completing and tracking CLE compliance, presentations and training programs, other business development activities, and organizing all other non-billable activities. Follow the standard naming and profiling conventions when scanning, emailing, and saving documents to the document management system. Should have High school or equivalent; 2 years of Microsoft Office; knowledge of standard office practices; warm customer relationship skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar; ability to use standard office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line telephones, and fax machines; ability to use a personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Apps, and you must be comfortable learning other software programs. Must display a high level of professionalism and warm demeanor and have the ability to interact positively with clients from varying socioeconomic backgrounds. Should have strong organizational skills, tact, diplomacy, and a positive can-do attitude. Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision including analysis and problem-solving as needed. Notary a plus
