Job Title: Public Relations Coordinator (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
The Public Relations Coordinator will be an essential member of the law firm's public relations team, providing strategic support for external communications across the firm. Under the supervision of the Senior Public Relations Manager, the coordinator's key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and distributing press releases regarding new laterals, promotions, events, rankings, deals, and other relevant topics.
- Assisting in placing attorney-authored articles in suitable journals and publications.
- Collaborating with lawyers to pitch story ideas to the media, aiming for positive coverage of the firm.
- Responding to media inquiries and building relationships with key reporter contacts.
- Building and maintaining media lists and editorial calendars.
- Tracking media coverage and preparing coverage reports.
- Assisting with additional projects managed by the public relations team as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for the Public Relations Coordinator position should have:
- A minimum of five years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing roles, preferably within a professional services environment or PR agency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
- Solid experience in pitching stories to the media.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with AI tools is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree is required, with a major in communications, journalism, or public relations preferred.
Salary Information:
The position offers a base salary that varies depending on the geographical location within the United States. The base salary ranges for this position are as follows:
- California: - per hour
- Colorado: - per hour
- District of Columbia: - per hour
- Illinois: - per hour
- New York City: - per hour
In addition to the base compensation, the law firm provides bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.
