Job Title: Insurance Defense Trial Team Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:
The Insurance Defense Trial Team Paralegal will have a range of duties focused on supporting attorneys in the field of Insurance Law and Litigation, specifically concentrating on first-party coverage issues such as windstorm, fire, theft, water damage, sinkhole, and collapse claims. Key responsibilities include:

- Gathering and analyzing documents pertinent to cases.
- Organizing and maintaining legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
- Managing calendars for hearings and deadlines and maintaining pleadings and discovery responses.
- Preparing documents for production and managing the preparation of Orders of Production and Subpoenas to third-parties, along with following up on third-party responses.
- Interacting with law firm personnel, outside counsel, external vendors, expert witnesses, and clients.
- Coordinating depositions for expert witnesses and managing their files, acting as a liaison between expert witnesses and trial counsel.
- Preparing simple motions such as Motion to Compel, Motion for Extensions, Motion to Strike Expert Witnesses, and Motions for Rule to Show Cause.
- Preparing Expert Discovery Requests and coordinating hearings for trial motions like Daubert Motions and Motions in Limine.
- Organizing case files and documents, preparing standard form responses.
- Providing trial preparation and on-site trial support as required.
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and databases.
- Supporting other projects as needed.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Insurance Defense Trial Team Paralegal position should meet the following criteria:

- A minimum of 5 years of paralegal work experience at a law firm is required.
- Experience with insurance defense and first-party property claims is necessary.
- Trial support experience is preferable.
- Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems is required.
- The candidate should be a self-starter comfortable with managing multiple tasks.

Salary Information:
The annual salary for the Insurance Defense Trial Team Paralegal position is commensurate with experience and qualifications, ranging from $72,000 to $75,000.
