Job Title: Enterprise Cloud Messaging Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
The Enterprise Cloud Messaging Engineer at the law firm is responsible for the development and delivery of cloud messaging systems under the direction of the Enterprise Messaging Manager. The role involves designing, maintaining, and administering cloud messaging-related systems to ensure a secure and stable environment for the firm. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, managing, and administering email security measures such as email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), spam, virus and content filtering, and URL rewriting and attachment scanning.
- Designing, managing, and administering all messaging systems with a focus on Microsoft Cloud Offering (Exchange Online, MS Exchange Online Archiving, Exchange Online Protection, Conditional Access Policies, Teams integrations).
- Creating and executing solutions implementation plans.
- Troubleshooting system issues and performing problem analysis to resolution.
- Documenting procedures and standards for varying target audiences.
- Collaborating with Directory services teams for on-premises and cloud-based account management.
- Developing and implementing access, monitoring, control, and documentation.
- Providing metrics for service utilization and actionable data.
- Participating in preparing and testing the disaster recovery plan.
- Providing 24x7 response and assistance for all urgent and related responsibilities.
- Providing subject matter expertise support to Help Desk and end users.
- Managing and automating scripting via Powershell management and GRAPH.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to Messaging team members.
- Collaborating and partnering with IT groups to promote efficient and secure services.
- Participating in after-hours on-call duties.
- Performing other duties as assigned/required.
- Interacting comfortably with firm leaders through presentations or one-on-one contact.
Education and Experience Information:
- 8 years' experience engineering in a large messaging system environment with 4 years' experience with cloud-based messaging solutions.

- Microsoft Exchange-related certifications preferred.
- Previous law firm experience is highly desired, though not required.
- Experienced in systems administration and engineering, including application installations, security and patch update cycles, performance and availability troubleshooting.
- Significant experience implementing email delivery and security platforms, including message/spam filtering, transport threats and vulnerabilities, intrusion detection, antivirus, and antimalware.
- Critical participation in enterprise-sized migration projects.
