Job Title: Paralegal - Trusts & Estates
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily trust administration for a variety of clients, including managing accounts and preparing letters and transfer forms.
- Assist in drafting estate planning documents such as wills, powers of attorney, and both basic and advanced trusts.
- Help manage and organize estate and probate files.
- Prepare accounting and financial statements.
- Docket court documents and file and obtain records with the courts and government offices.
- Proofread documents for spelling, grammatical, and formatting errors.
- Communicate directly with clients to provide updates or assist with accounting and tax needs.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Paralegal Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a professional environment, including progressive responsibility in managing client trust accounts.
- Law firm experience preferred.
- High level of proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite applications, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, Lexis/Nexis, and other internet research tools.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to move projects to conclusion.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations.
- Reliable and dependable team player.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
Salary Information:
- The pay range for this position in Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, and Houston is to per hour.
- In Raleigh and Winston, the pay range is to per hour.
- In New York and Washington, DC, the pay range is to per hour.
