Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant - Patent
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain legal documents, databases, and electronic records and files, as well as filing documents with the Patent and Trademark Office.
- Review and track dates on the Intellectual Property Docket system to meet deadlines and follow up on important filings, court dates, and correspondence.
- Monitor the intake of new matters and coordinate billing.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made for in-person and virtual meetings.
- Provide administrative support and assistance by routing mail, screening calls, and performing various clerical duties.
- Assist in supporting business development.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of three years of legal patent experience is required.
- Candidates should possess exceptional organizational abilities, initiative, attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships, and an interest in becoming an integral part of practice management are essential.
- Self-motivation, a positive, professional, can-do attitude and approach, and the desire to think creatively and get things done effectively and efficiently are crucial.
- Advanced technical skills in Microsoft 2010 Suite and a willingness to learn new and evolving systems and applications are necessary.
