Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for executing and monitoring various banking transactions in connection with real estate and loan closings. Candidate should, therefore, have some familiarity with the Quickbooks software program and general law firm accounting practices. must have 4+ years of experience handling purchases and sales of commercial and residential real estate and residential and commercial loan closings. Candidate must be comfortable using conveyancing software; experience using the E-Closing and/or Simplifile platforms a plus. Candidate must possess solid understanding of Massachusetts conveyancing practices and be comfortable drafting, generating, and understanding all documents used in connection with real estate purchases and sales and loan closing, including, without limitation, purchase & sale agreements; closing disclosures; deeds; powers of attorney; title insurance documents (policies, commitments, closing protection letters, etc.); ALTA settlement statements; declarations of trust and trustee certificates, and the like. Candidate must be familiar with the processes relative to obtaining and/or preparing title reports/examinations; loan document packages; title insurance policies; mortgage payoff statements and discharges/releases, municipal lien certificates; certificates of good standing, and the like.
