Job Title: Associate - Intellectual Property

Job Responsibilities:
- Join the Intellectual Property team at the law firm’s Chicago office.
- Work closely with shareholders and participate in business development and client-facing activities.
- Handle intellectual property prosecution and litigation matters, focusing on patent and trademark issues.
- Draft patents and engage in strong research and brief writing.
- Utilize strong communication, organization, and time management skills to ensure excellent client service.
- Accept as much responsibility and client contact as ready to assume.
- Engage in substantial professional development through training, mentoring, and performance feedback.

Education and Experience Information:
- 2-5 years of experience in intellectual property prosecution and litigation, particularly with patent and trademark matters.
- Patent drafting experience and strong research and brief writing skills.
- An Electrical Engineering degree (or its equivalent).
- A JD degree (or its equivalent) with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the Illinois Bar and as a patent attorney before the USPTO, or taking steps to become admitted in Illinois and as a patent attorney before the USPTO.

Salary Information:
- Competitive annual base salary ranging from $230,000 to $280,000, commensurate with class year and experience.
