Job Title: Senior Enterprise Applications and Data Architect

Job Responsibilities:

As a critical member of the Information Systems Department, the Senior Enterprise Applications and Data Architect is charged with several essential responsibilities. The primary duty is to assess, develop, and maintain the architecture components within the application portfolio while ensuring proper monitoring and governance of associated data within the environment. Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting in the development of a road map for the application and data portfolio and creating transition plans to move from current to future solutions.
- Planning, directing, and coordinating the standardization of data across various on-premise and cloud platforms.
- Identifying inefficiencies in workflow processes and implementing changes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Reviewing application architecture and data integration options, and making recommendations to IS management for potential implementation with on-premise or cloud-hosted solutions.
- Serving as the Project Manager for new enterprise-wide applications or updates to existing applications, including creating project plans, tracking budgets, monitoring deadlines, and evaluating project team performance. The role may also involve participating as a project member in other team-led projects.
- Leading the testing process for new software or software versions, maintaining test environments, and managing testing teams and procedures.
- Creating and maintaining production environments for enterprise applications, handling server and desktop specifications, client software packaging, and server software installations and integrations.
- Resolving Help Desk tickets related to enterprise-wide applications, performing troubleshooting, and managing problem escalation to other teams and vendors as necessary.
- Staying updated on patches and releases for enterprise-wide applications, reviewing release notes, tracking resolutions, and recommending updates.

Additional functions include maintaining a high level of knowledge in enterprise applications, assisting, teaching, and mentoring other team members, and performing other related job duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:

Education:

- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred.

Experience:

- A minimum of ten years of extensive experience managing enterprise-wide applications, preferably within a law firm setting.
- At least five years of related experience with cloud data analytics platforms and technologies such as Azure, AWS, and Snowflake.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

- Solid project management skills, with the ability to organize, plan, and execute projects from the envisioning stage through implementation.
- Proficiency in enterprise system integrations, including multi-cloud integrations, data movement (ETL/ELT), data architecture (Snowflake, MS Fabric), data preparation (Azure Data Factory), and data consumption and visualization (PowerBI).
- Comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure, server, operating systems, and network communications.
- Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
- Expertise in installing and maintaining enterprise-wide applications, including servers, customizations, integrations, load balancing, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Knowledgeable in SQL server and SQL scripting.
- Extensive familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including Azure AD, Azure AD Application Proxy, Power BI, OneDrive, and Azure Virtual Desktop remote app streaming.
- Certification in Microsoft 365 Enterprise is preferred.

Salary Information:

The salary range for this position varies based on factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, geographic location, market demands, and other business needs. The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $140,000 and $175,000 for certain locations, including but not limited to Atlantic City, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Morristown, New York, Princeton, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, . It is noted that it is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for this position.
