The Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled and organized Labor & Employment Client Service Specialist to join our team in Chicago, IL. This position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated attorneys in a fast-paced environment.
As a Labor & Employment Client Service Specialist, you will provide superior client service by answering and screening calls, managing attorney calendars, and preparing legal documents. You will also work closely with attorneys and clients to ensure seamless transfer of information and manage the workflow of assigned tasks and projects.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience at a law firm or legal/corporate department, with a strong knowledge and experience in Labor & Employment law. They must also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Provide superior client service by answering and screening calls in a courteous and timely manner
- Work closely with attorneys and clients to ensure seamless transfer of information
- Manage workflow of assigned tasks and projects
- Maintain attorney calendars and assist in meeting deadlines
- Prepare legal documents, memoranda, and correspondence
- Process new business requests and maintain client case files
- Calendar all critical deadlines and other dates requiring action
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree preferred, Bachelor's degree a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience at a law firm or legal/corporate department
- Strong knowledge and experience in Labor & Employment law
- Keyboarding skills of 60 wpm or higher
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency using legal terminology and experience working in related practice area(s)
