Job Title: Compliance Consultant
Job Responsibilities:
The Compliance Consultant will be an integral part of the Government Relations & Regulation Practice Group at the law firm. The primary responsibilities include preparing and filing state and local lobby registration and reports, major donor reports, and other necessary lobby and campaign finance disclosure reports. Additionally, the consultant will prepare exempt organization formation documents, including bylaws and resolutions. Participation in practice group meetings and handling special projects as assigned are also part of the role. The consultant will work under the supervision of an attorney and must be capable of working independently while demonstrating excellent judgment and responsibility. The consultant reports to the Practice Support Services Director.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must possess a . degree or equivalent experience. A minimum of two years of experience with major donor, PAC, and lobby reporting compliance is required. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of client projects. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Experience with compliance software such as NetFile and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are required. The role demands analytical ability to gather and summarize data, multitasking capability, and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be a self-motivated problem solver with the ability to work independently on projects.
Salary Information:
The hourly range for the position of Compliance Consultant at the law firm is approximately to per hour. The successful candidate’s annual compensation is expected to be set between $75,000 and $100,000 per year, based on a standard workweek. However, actual compensation will depend on various factors, including the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
