Job Title: Client Accounts Administrator
Job Responsibilities:
The Client Accounts Administrator is tasked with managing the firm's top-tier billing portfolios, focusing on institutional, high-profile clients and attorneys. This role involves serving as a proxy for regional supervisors when needed and acting as a subject-matter expert in billing practices. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing complex billing for high-volume global clients and electronic billing assignments.
- Performing duties to support the full billing cycle, including reviewing and editing prebills, and seeking approvals for deferrals, write-offs, and time transfers.
- Handling billing inquiries and resolving tickets assigned by the Accounting Service Desk, ensuring SLA requirements for response and resolution are met.
- Demonstrating proficiency in BillBlast, Aderant, and other electronic billing vendor sites to ensure quality assurance and resolve electronic bill rejections.
- Maintaining accurate descriptions of client billing requirements, updating and communicating changes to stakeholders.
- Obtaining and reviewing complex monthly reporting data, collaborating with other teams as necessary.
- Finalizing invoices for submission to clients or attorneys, ensuring compliance with policy or approved exceptions.
- Striving to improve client service and deliverables by leveraging industry knowledge.
- Providing training and mentorship to other staff members on billing procedures.
- Coordinating and leading global client unified billing, liaising with international counterparts to ensure accurate accrual and forecasting information.
- Ensuring engaged locations stay within budget and troubleshooting issues with finance counterparts.
- Generating global client LEDES files for electronic billing.
Education and Experience Information:
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field is highly preferred.
Minimum Years of Experience:
- 5 years of experience managing high-volume billing portfolios in a fast-paced environment.
- Expert knowledge and experience with direct billing or client accounts, including domestic and global billing and e-Billing, within a law or professional services organization.
- Experience as a team lead is preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems such as Aderant, are required.
- Proficiency in e-billing applications such as BillBlast or e-Billing Hub is necessary.
Salary Information:
The expected hiring range for the Client Accounts Administrator position is - per hour, depending on the candidate’s geographic market location. Non-exempt positions will be paid on an hourly basis and include overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws. Compensation will also depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications.
