Job Title: Pricing Manager - (Hybrid Schedule)
Job Responsibilities:
The Pricing Manager is a pivotal member of the law firm's Client Value Team, focusing on delivering value through innovative alternative fee arrangements and improving existing processes. The responsibilities include leading Pricing Analysts and contributing to the training and development of team members. The Pricing Manager collaborates closely with the Senior Manager Strategic Pricing - US and Directors to manage the completion and submission of formal RFPs and other requests. This role involves working with attorneys across the firm to support day-to-day pricing needs for both new and existing clients and matters. Key duties include:
- Creating innovative pricing models and recommending appropriate choices for panel pitches and individual matters.
- Assisting with and leading negotiations of pricing arrangements, including alternative fee structures, to enhance revenue and client satisfaction.
- Assessing current firm pricing capabilities and proposing projects to improve firm efficiency and output.
- Attending client meetings to discuss pricing and value-added offerings.
- Presenting to partners and other fee-earners to raise awareness of the function and capabilities.
- Attending Practice Group meetings to present on pricing and client value topics.
- Assisting the Senior Manager in managing a team of Senior Analysts and Analysts, ensuring work is delegated and completed to a satisfactory standard.
- Leading partner training programs for all Client Value and Pricing initiatives.
- Overseeing the pricing team reporting function, ensuring quality and integrity.
- Coaching and mentoring team members on best practices of the firm and Client Value Team.
- Coordinating with the Legal Project Management Team on pricing-related projects.
- Identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to enhance the analytical and operational capabilities of the Pricing team.
- Liaising with the Firm Programming team to maintain support tools and coordinate required changes.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
Education: A Bachelor of Science in Business/Finance is required.
Experience: Candidates should have experience in accounting, pricing, financial analysis, or the paralegal field. Experience within a large law firm or professional service firm sector is advantageous.
Skills required include strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to engage with team members on accounting, reporting, and business issues. Problem-solving skills, familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, 3E, and related applications are necessary. Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau is a plus. The candidate should have a good understanding of the firm's approval process and the ability to lead discussions with key decision-makers. Supervisory skills, attention to detail, and the ability to combine business acumen with management skills are essential. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary Information:
The anticipated pay range for the Pricing Manager position varies by location:
- Pittsburgh, Miami, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta: $125,000 - $140,000
- Chicago, Philadelphia: $135,000 - $150,000
- Princeton, Washington .: $145,000 - $155,000

Other Information:
Supervisory Responsibilities: The role involves supervising the Client Value Intern and select Analysts.
Equipment to Be Used: Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, calculator, fax machine, copier, scanner, etc.
Essential Job Functions: The role requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods, intense eye usage, and dexterity associated with prolonged computer use. The candidate must be able to read and interpret documents, work in a fast-paced environment, make judgment decisions, adapt to changing situations, and handle multiple tasks. Effective oral and written communication skills are necessary, and the candidate must work in the office as required and be able to travel for meetings and training.
Working Conditions: The candidate will be required to work in the office at least three days per week and may occasionally work hours beyond the normal schedule.
