Litigation Docketing Specialist - Full Time Employment Opportunity at Leading Law Firm
Position Summary:
- Join the West Coast Regional Team of Litigation Docketing at Greenberg Traurig Law Firm
- Responsible for managing calendaring and docketing for multiple offices on the West Coast
- Opportunity for remote work in close proximity to one of the six California offices
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review emails and determine docketing necessity for each assigned public folder
- Make informed decisions on adding docket items to case teams' Outlook calendars
- Communicate with case teams to gather necessary information for case set-ups and management
- Perform limited research to verify deadlines
- Respond to inquiries from litigation teams regarding docketed events, deadlines, and rules
- Maintain and improve processes and procedures for accurate calendar/docket entries
- Promote firm's docketing policies and procedures to litigation teams
Skills & Competencies:
- Substantial experience computing deadlines for state, federal, and appellate courts
- Strong knowledge of litigation processes, court rules, and procedures
- Critical thinking skills to process complex orders and analyze effects on case deadlines
- Ability to research, analyze, and summarize issues in writing with attention to detail
- Familiarity with court websites, docket searching, and document retrieval databases
- Effective collaboration in team settings and ability to establish and maintain relationships
- Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and professional demeanor
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 7 years of current California and Federal Litigation experience on case teams
- Prior experience with rules-based calendar systems required (ProLaw, Compulaw, or eDockets)
- Prior experience as a litigation paralegal or legal secretary preferred
- Work experience in large firms preferred
- Proficiency in Windows-based software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat
- Exceptional computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications
Compensation and Benefits Package:
