Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Responsibilities: The Accounts Receivable Specialist at the law firm is responsible for managing client payments and ensuring timely collections. This includes: - Contacting clients who are overdue on payments and tracking communication details. - Collaborating with billing specialists to understand client billing requirements and address billing issues such as rejections, missing invoices, and expense backups. - Communicating with the Director of Billing and Accounts Receivables, Collections Supervisor, or Assigned AR Specialist about billing disputes or changes in payment patterns. - Preparing periodic status reports on assigned clients. - Providing backup for the cash posting group by researching and allocating payments, documenting cash posting information, and identifying payments with the help of billing and other staff. - Assisting with daily deposits, scanning, and filing. - Handling queries regarding payments, invoices, statements, and electronic payment onboarding. - Working independently and within a team on special projects as needed. - Performing general administrative functions and other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience Information: - Candidates must possess 3-5 years of experience in receivables, collections, cash receipt applications, and customer service. - A college degree is highly preferred. - Experience with Aderant is highly preferred. Qualifications: - Ability to handle and maintain confidential information with sensitivity and discretion. - Capability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - A positive attitude and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with team members, the accounting department, billing attorneys, and other business units. - Good judgment skills, including recognizing when to escalate a problem. - Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills. - Detail-oriented with the ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and proportions. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate skills in Word and Excel. Salary Information: The base annual pay range for the Accounts Receivable Specialist role is between $70,000 and $90,000. The exact base pay offered will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location, while also taking into account internal equity. Additionally, a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits dependent on the position will be offered.
