Job Title: Paralegal - Intellectual Property Litigation
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to attorneys within the intellectual property litigation practice area.
- Organize, index, and maintain case files.
- Assist with preparing and drafting various legal documents, including transmittal letters, subpoenas, and case summaries for attorney review.
- Perform cite checking and Bluebooking.
- Conduct legal research.
- Gather case-related materials, including contracts, witness and expert files, and exhibits.
- Prepare and file documents with federal and state courts, arbitration and dispute resolution bodies, and government agencies.
- Maintain a docketing calendar to ensure timely filings.
- Manage a large portfolio of cases and track deadlines.
- Prepare trial workspaces, including coordinating with IT and outside vendors regarding war room equipment.
- Provide administrative trial support, including maintaining exhibit lists and filing court documents.
- Must be committed to working overtime as needed, which may include weekends or holidays.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred, or equivalent job experience.
- At least four (4) years of related work experience.
- Experience with the International Trade Commission (ITC) preferred.
- Experience with the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and Federal Circuit required.
- Trial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) is necessary.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
Salary Information:
- Target hiring range is $66,000 - $160,000.
- Quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of final salary offers.
- Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
- Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that the law firm provides to compensate and recognize staff professionals for their work.
- Full-time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
