Job Title: Immigration Case Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
The role of an Immigration Case Coordinator at the law firm involves working under the general supervision of assigned attorneys and the Chief Human Resources Officer. The coordinator is responsible for a variety of tasks to assist attorneys, working closely with a team of attorneys and paralegals, and interacting with multinational corporate clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing a range of nonimmigrant petitions and applications such as H-1B, L-1, TN, E1/E2, E-3, P-1, O-1, and others.
- Preparing immigrant/permanent resident process filings, including PERM labor certifications.
- Performing case intake, analyzing case documents, and drafting correspondences, memos, or summaries.
- Maintaining positive contact with clients and ensuring confidentiality of client matters.
- Organizing client documentation and monitoring workload and production.
- Communicating regularly with clients and foreign nationals regarding case filings.
- Monitoring expiration dates and preparing case status reports for clients using case management systems and programs.
- Supporting the department with other assigned tasks and projects as needed.
- Utilizing INSZoom or LawLogix Case Management System.
Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the position of Immigration Case Coordinator, candidates must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or possess a paralegal certification (preferred but not required).
- Have approximately 2+ years of experience as an Immigration Case Coordinator.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage a high volume of cases while maintaining high productivity.
- Be proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Tracker, along with a document management system.
- Exhibit outstanding case/project management and organizational skills.
- Possess strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and work independently toward team goals.
- Communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
Salary Information:
The hourly range for the Immigration Case Coordinator position is USD to USD. Compensation is determined by a variety of factors, including geographic location, experience, relevant degrees and certifications, and other applicable factors authorized by law.
Working Conditions:
The position is based in a normal law office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, or temperature extremes.
