Litigation Paralegal 5 reviews Phoenix, AZ Full-time Urgently hiring Job details Job Type Full-time Number of hires for this role 1 Qualifications Paralegal: 5 years (Required) Full Job Description Fast-paced litigation law firm seeks Paralegal with 5 years of experience, preferably in insurance defense, for our Chicago, Phoenix, or Denver office. Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of discovery, including but not limited to the initial drafting of disclosures, discovery requests, discovery responses, document productions, litigation holds, privilege logs, subpoenas, deposition notices, FOIA requests and correspondence with involved parties, including clients, vendors, and witnesses. Responsibilities also include organizing case files, researching corporations, witnesses, and out-of-state civil procedures, deposition prep including exhibits and binders, drafting demand packages, and creating PowerPoint presentations for mock trials, arbitrations and mediations. Prior trial experience is strongly desired, including drafting and maintaining witness and exhibit lists, jury instructions, notebooks, witness management and scheduling, trial subpoenas, coordinating with trial vendors and courts, and organizing travel arrangements as needed. Paralegal may also be expected to attend trials. Limited travel may be required. Qualified candidates must have a Paralegal certificate. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) proficiency, Relativity (or other e-Discovery tools), Adobe Pro, and Westlaw experience is required. Candidates must be extremely detail-oriented, have excellent internet research and organizational skills, and be dependable team players with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Our ideal candidate is professional, resourceful, proactive, and dependable. This position is full-time, 35 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, with a one-hour unpaid daily lunch period. Compensation is based upon level of experience. In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible to participate in the Firm's benefits package which includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with discretionary profit-sharing, and enrollment without any premiums in the firm's short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance policies.
