Job Title: Tax Analyst - FSO - Fiduciary Trust Estate Advisory Services

Job Responsibilities:
The Tax Analyst will play a crucial role in providing trust tax compliance outsourcing and support services for various organizations that utilize a trust accounting system. These organizations include banks, wealth management firms, family offices, trust companies, and law firms. The key responsibilities of the Tax Analyst include:

- Preparing and reviewing fiduciary accountings for trusts, estates, and guardianships.
- Reviewing trust and estate documents, including trust instruments, wills, and IRS Form 706.
- Analyzing and interpreting source data such as bank statements, brokerage statements, and checking accounts to determine the appropriate accounting treatment.
- Participating in both internal and external training sessions to maintain and enhance knowledge of fiduciary law and software applications.
- Maintaining regular communication with client liaisons and/or client trust administration teams.
- Engaging in regular interactions and communications with supervisors and department/company coworkers, including data entry staff.
- Overseeing the entire accounting process from start to finish, including monthly billing.
- Organizing and managing personal account workload efficiently.
- Maintaining annual firm-required CPE credits.
- Participating in business development activities to support the growth of the department.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the role of Tax Analyst, candidates must meet the following education and experience requirements:

- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the preparation of fiduciary accountings.
- Knowledge of current fiduciary accounting law.
- Strong technical, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to participate in both internal and client meetings.
- Experience in managing client relationships.
- Detail-oriented with strong technical skills in basic computer software applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Approximately 2 years of work experience in a professional services or professional tax organization.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to adapt work style to collaborate effectively with both internal and client team members.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills, with a focus on problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel as needed and work in a balanced hybrid environment.

Ideally, candidates should also have:
- Experience working with the Thomson Reuters FAS accounting system, though it is not required.
- A Paralegal degree with trust and estate knowledge, with experience in an accounting firm or bank trust department preferred.
- Experience working in a law firm is preferred but not required.

Salary Information:
The compensation for the Tax Analyst position is competitive, with a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $58,300 to $96,400. For the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the base salary range is $70,100 to $109,400. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined by a variety of factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. In addition to base salary, the Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
