Job Title: Senior Manager - Settlement Administration

Job Responsibilities:

- Team Leadership: The Senior Manager is responsible for directly managing a team of Managers, Analysts, and Coordinators, which may be spread across various locations globally. This role includes providing performance feedback, supporting training for team development, and delivering employee reviews. The Senior Manager sets clear objectives and expectations to motivate and enable the team. They also act as the hiring manager, identifying top candidates to build out the team as needed.

- Client Relationship Oversight: This position ensures that client cases assigned to their team are handled appropriately, meeting or exceeding client expectations. The Senior Manager provides support and guidance, proactively escalating issues to Directors and senior leadership. They engage directly with clients to define their needs, ensuring that engagements are managed appropriately and timely.

- Project Management: The Senior Manager is responsible for directly supervising project teams, ensuring timely and accurate execution of project deliverables and milestones. They oversee the terms of Settlement Agreements or other mandates, driving deadlines and ensuring high-quality outcomes. The Senior Manager takes ownership and accountability for overall client delivery.

- Performance Management: The role involves setting billable hour goals and targets for utilization and quality for project team members, as well as meeting their own goals. The Senior Manager reviews key reports to ensure that controls are accurately utilized and that expected work is occurring from direct reports. They also ensure and validate invoicing as necessary, paying close attention to case budgets.

- Internal Collaboration: The Senior Manager works internally to meet client needs while building internal relationships and fostering team building. They utilize standard processes and systems, support new efforts and approaches, and provide feedback to encourage continuous improvement.

- Effective Decisions: The Senior Manager makes well-informed, independent, effective, and timely decisions, considering the impact and implications on projects and the business. They make thoughtful recommendations to the Director and senior management.

Education and Experience Information:

- A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience is strongly preferred in one or more of the following areas: claims administration, account management, client services, paralegal, and/or project management. Experience with budget responsibility for projects is preferred.
- A background in legal, banking, or financial services/accounting or previous class action administration is required.
- PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Paralegal experience or a JD is also highly desirable.
